Shape Monster, Shape Monster I love You

We have just ended our Geometry Unit in Math and are moving onto working with with numbers.  What a better way to end it by making a fun activity shape monster, and monster starts with m.  So we covered both, a letter craft and math.  I made the pattern and Mrs. Rogers cut lots of pieces from the pattern.  They got to create him or her however they wanted.  I think they turned out so cute. Take a look at our adorable creations.

Silly Sally Went to Town...Walking Backwards, Upside Down

This week we focused on the letter Ss.  I thought and thought of what I could do that was a little different.  So.....after thinking about it a while, the cute book Silly Sally came to mind.

On Thursday, I read the story and talked about how she walked to town upside down and backwards.  Along the way she met several animals who joined in on the fun.  The kids giggled as I read the book, I then explained how we were going to make silly students on Friday that walk upside down.  Needless to say, this has to be one of cutest things I have made in a while and the kids loved it.  So much fun.  It was great to see the smiles of adults and kids as they walked by and saw all the silly students walking on their hands.  Take a look.

P is for Pirates and Princess

Last week we focused on the letter Pp.  When you think about the letter Pp what do you think of?  Well.... pirates and princesses of course.  We had a great time making pirates and princess.  We have one little girl that has red hair in our class.  The next thing I knew all the girls were adding red hair.  They were a hit on the hall.  Take a look at the cutie pies below.  So adorable.
